What to Expect at Your First ADHD Evaluation
A first visit is mostly conversation — here’s exactly what happens, step by step.
Before your visit
Once you choose a provider and time, our team verifies your insurance benefits (or confirms self-pay pricing) before your appointment is locked in, so there are no surprises. You’ll also complete a short intake covering your history and current symptoms — this gives your provider a head start before you even meet.
During the visit
Secure video, no office visit
Your appointment happens over secure video from wherever is comfortable and private for you.
A conversation, not a test
Your provider asks about your history, current symptoms, and how they show up at work, school, or home.
Room for questions
This is your chance to ask about medication, therapy, or anything you’re unsure about.
After your visit
Your provider will discuss next steps with you directly — that might mean starting a medication, a therapy or coping-strategies plan, or a combination of both. Follow-up visits let you and your provider review how things are going and adjust as needed. Nothing about your care plan is decided before you’ve had a chance to talk it through together.
